I don't know about you, but we are more than happy that summer has finally arrived. The heat has taken its time coming, but is now in full force! Unless you spend the day in the freshness of an air conditioned, you have no choice but to adapt to the heat wave. There are plenty of important things like (obviously) getting hydrated and sunscreen several times a day, but a good choice of clothes can also help you have a more pleasant summer. Here are some tips and suggestions for surviving the heat wave within the means of your wardrobe!

My first suggestion is to opt for natural materials. It's hot, we want our clothes to breathe. If you opt for synthetic materials, the heat that your body releases will stay locked in your clothes and will cause you to sweat. Opt for natural materials that will let through the heat, for example, bamboo fiber. It is an ultra breathable material, which dries quickly and even better ... it's super soft! The brand SLAK as a few very cute styles in this material, like the 3 shown above.

Another interesting suggestion is to opt for larger clothes. You can take a larger size (the oversized look is still very trendy!) Or go for a fluid item, like these Frank Lyman jumpsuits. They are great options for the office: elegant, long legs (but ample!) And can be worn easily with a neutral bolero or a blazer (for air-conditioned offices!).

My next recommendation may seem like common sense in the summer, but I wanted to mention it just in case ... avoid dark colors. As I said, it's quite easy to achieve since the vast majority of summer collections tend to be in lighter shades. No need to attract any extra heat!

And finally, my last but not least suggestion ... accessorize! Because even if you dress in large, pale and natural materials, you are still not immune to the fierceness of the sun's rays. I strongly recommend that you always wear a hat, a cap or a light scarf. The cap and the hat are common sense: it is important to protect your head and your facial skin which is very delicate, a scarf can come in handy, rather than dragging an umbrella or sunshade, simply covering your shoulders with a very light fabric will protect you efficiently. In addition, you can match the scarf with your outfit to complete your look. Kill two birds with one stone!
